Dual Functionality, Static Password and OATH

The YubiKey 2.0 can be re-programmed to have two independent and separate configurations including any two of the three alternatives:

  1. Standard YubiKey 44 character passcode
  2. Up to 44 character static passcode
  3. OATH-HOTP 6 or 8 digit code identity (YubiKey 2.1 and later)
  4. HMAC-SHA-1 Challenge-Response (YubiKey 2.2 and later)

Yubico provides the YubiRevoke service for preventing potential misuse of your YubiKeys in case they are lost. The YubiRevoke service provides the following functionality:

  1. Creating a YubiRevoke customer admin account
  2. Provisioning one or more admin YubiKeys to manage the YubiRevoke customer admin account
  3. Enabling/Disabling YubiKeys in case YubiKeys are lost or stolen
  4. Resetting YubiRevoke service password
  5. Changing email address assigned for YubiRevoke service
